Getting Started with Ledger® Live

Step 1: Download Ledger® Live

1. Go to the official Ledger Live download page.
2. Select the version for your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) or mobile device (iOS, Android).
3. Install the app on your computer or smartphone.

Step 2: Set Up Your Ledger Hardware Wallet

1. Unbox Your Ledger Wallet: Inside the package, you’ll find your Ledger hardware wallet, USB cable, recovery phrase cards, and a quick start guide.
2. Connect Your Ledger Device: Use the provided USB cable to connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your computer or mobile device.
3. Create a New Wallet or Restore an Existing One:
   • New Setup: Choose "Set up as a new device" and follow the instructions to create a secure PIN and generate a 24-word recovery phrase.
   • Restoring a Wallet: If you’re recovering an existing wallet, select the "Restore from recovery phrase" option and enter your 24-word backup phrase.
4. Backup Your Recovery Phrase: Write down the 24-word recovery phrase on the provided cards and store it safely in an offline location.

Step 3: Install Cryptocurrency Apps

1. Once your Ledger device is set up, open Ledger® Live and navigate to the Manager section.
2. From here, you can install apps for different cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) onto your Ledger device.
3. Follow the prompts to install the apps and manage your assets.

Using Ledger® Live

Sending Cryptocurrencies

1. Open Ledger® Live and select the cryptocurrency you want to send (e.g., Bitcoin or Ethereum).
2. Click on the Send button and enter the recipient's address, the amount you wish to send, and any other necessary details.
3. Verify and confirm the transaction on your Ledger hardware wallet to ensure maximum security.
4. Once confirmed, your transaction will be processed securely.

Receiving Cryptocurrencies

1. To receive cryptocurrencies, open Ledger® Live and select the Receive option for the relevant cryptocurrency.
2. Generate your wallet address, which can be shared with the sender to receive funds.
3. Once the transaction is confirmed, the funds will appear in your Ledger® Live portfolio.

Tracking Your Portfolio

Ledger® Live allows you to view your portfolio’s balance and transaction history in real-time. You can track how your assets are performing, check individual coin values, and gain insights into your overall portfolio’s growth.

Buying, Selling, and Swapping Crypto

Ledger® Live partners with trusted third-party exchanges, allowing you to buy, sell, and swap cryptocurrencies directly from within the app.

1. Select the Buy/Sell or Swap options in Ledger® Live.
2. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete your transactions.

Advanced Features in Ledger® Live

• Passphrase Protection: Enable passphrase protection for an added layer of security on your Ledger wallet.
• Multiple Accounts: Create multiple accounts for different cryptocurrencies, all on a single Ledger device.
• Firmware and App Updates: Regular updates keep your Ledger device secure, adding new features and improvements.
